League City, TX (December 30, 2024): League City Police Officers and Detectives arrested 26-year-old suspect, Azaria Walker of Stafford, and 48-year-old suspect, Derman Singleton of Houston. Walker was arrested and charged with Theft >=$2,500=1g=$100=$2,500
On December 27, 2024, at approximately 1:51 p.m., an LCPD Special Investigative Unit (SIU) Detective was notified of a theft in progress at Target in League City. The SIU Detective was given a description of a black female who was concealing merchandise in her backpack. The SIU Detective observed the female, later identified as Azaria Walker, enter the passenger side of a white Mercedes Benz, which was being driven by a black male, later identified as Derman Singleton.
League City Patrol Officers assisted the SIU Detective with stopping the Mercedes. After a thorough investigation, the officers and detective discovered in addition to the theft at Target, the two had also committed a theft at Home Depot in League City by concealing unpaid merchandise in a vanity box. The unpaid items totaled over $6,000. Walker was also found to be in possession of narcotics and personal identifying information. Walker and Singleton were placed in custody without incident.
