Lettie Brysch graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from St. Mary’s University – San Antonio with a major in International Relations and a minor in Political Science. 

She earned her Master’s Degree in Peace Studies from the University of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England.  Lettie is also a 1997 Fellow of the Institute of International Public Policy (IIPP), which is a Fellowship Program that provides students with education and training experiences critical to entry and advancement in public policy.

Lettie began her career in local government in the City Secretary’s Office with the City of Sugar Land and City of Baytown.  In her 14-year career in municipal government, Lettie has served in the position of City Secretary for 12, and has an excellent track record of delivering a wide variety of high-quality clerical services and continuous process improvements to municipal offices. In April 2021, the City Council appointed her as City Secretary for the City of Friendswood. 

Lettie and her husband Joey have one son named Julian and her hobbies include spending time with her family, volunteering with her church, and sharing her love of classical music with her son.
