Brian Mansfield became the Director of Emergency Services in October of 2024. Mansfield began his career with the City of Friendswood Fire Marshal’s Office and Office of Emergency Management in 2000, where he has held several positions including: volunteer investigator, Deputy, Assistant and Deputy Director, Fire Marshal/Emergency Management Coordinator.
Mansfield has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from the University of Houston Clear Lake. He is State Certified as a Master Peace Officer, Master Arson Investigator, Master Fire Inspector, Master Firefighter and Master Instructor. Additionally, he holds designations as Certified Emergency Manager and Certified Fire Executive.
Mansfield is responsible for multiple divisions and city contracts to include:
Fire Prevention, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Service (EMS), and oversees the Fire Department, and EMS Billing contracts.
