Pat Riffel is the Director of Municipal Court for the City of Friendswood. She began working in Friendswood in 2022 but left for a period and could not wait to return in 2013!
Pat has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and is a Licensed Social Worker. She is a Level III Certified Municipal Court Clerk and is also a Certified Court Manager through the National Institute of Court Management. She achieved the status of Certified Public Manager through the University of Houston.
Pat currently serves as faculty for the Texas Court Clerks Association, Texas Municipal Court Education Center, and the National Center for State Courts.
Pat is a member of the National Association of Court Management, Texas Municipal Court Association and the Texas Court Clerks Association. She has received the Lorna Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award from TCCA, as well as the Court Support Staff Member of the Year from the TMCA.
