League City, TX (June 8, 2024): On Saturday, June 8, 2024, at approximately 7:23 p.m., the League City Police Department received several calls regarding multiple gunshots being fired in the 2900 block of Paisley Meadow Dr. LCPD dispatch advised officers they could hear people screaming in the background. LCPD officers as well as several LCPD SWAT Officers who were working at a special event responded to the area.
Upon arrival officers were directed to a residence in the 2900 block of Paisley Meadow Dr and were told the gunshots came from the house. Officers then made an exigent entry into the house to preserve life. Officers located an adult male armed with a handgun and a deceased male also in the backyard. The male was taken into custody and the other male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This is an ongoing investigation, and LCPD officers, detectives as well as crime scene technicians are still on scene processing evidence. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the League City Police Department at 281-332-2566.
